# Terms of use

## The short version

* The site and its tools are free. They come as they are, from one developer, without guarantees.
* What you upload stays yours. You let me host and show it so others can download it.
* Only upload what you made or are allowed to share, and keep it civil.
* You can stop using VoxelSprout and delete your account and data any time.

## What this covers

VoxelSprout is me, one developer. These terms cover voxelsprout.com, its tools and generators, the marketplace, and the online features my mods use, such as signing in and build sync. The mods themselves are covered by the license on their download page.

By using the site or those features you agree to these terms. How your data is handled is on the [privacy page](https://voxelsprout.com/privacy).

Not an official Minecraft product or service. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

## Your account

* You sign in with a Microsoft account. Keep it secure: what happens through your account is on you.
* Pick a username that is not offensive and does not pretend to be someone else.
* You can delete your account at any time from your [account page](https://voxelsprout.com/account).

## What you upload

This covers marketplace uploads and files you share in build sync. You keep the rights to what you upload. By uploading, you give me permission to store it, show it, make preview pictures of it, and let other people view and download it. That permission is free, worldwide, and ends when you delete the upload, apart from copies people already downloaded.

When you upload, you confirm that:

* you made it, or you have the right to share it, and you credit the original where it is based on someone else's work
* it is civil and family-friendly: nothing offensive, hateful, sexual or gory
* it is not spam, advertising or misleading, and the title, category and pictures match what it is

Downloading a build does not give you the rights to it. Use it in your own worlds, but do not re-upload or sell someone else's build as your own.

## What is not allowed

* Breaking the law, or helping someone else do so.
* Uploading anything that infringes someone else's rights.
* Harassing people, including through session names, build names or reports.
* Trying to get into accounts or sessions that are not yours, or to break, overload or scrape the site or its services.
* Automating uploads, votes or reports.

## Moderation

Anyone signed in can report an upload. Uploads that break these terms can be removed, and accounts that keep breaking them can be suspended or closed. This is done by hand, with judgment, and without a formal appeals process. If you think a decision was wrong, say so on [Discord](https://discord.gg/CvdkGbEW4y).

If you believe an upload infringes your copyright, report it on its page or get in touch below, and I will look at it.

## No guarantees

VoxelSprout is a free project kept going by one person. It is offered as it is. Features can change or stop, the site can be down, and data can be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you care about. Uploads come from other people and are not checked before they go up.

As far as the law allows, I am not liable for damage from using the site, its services or builds downloaded from it, such as lost worlds or lost uploads.

## Changes and contact

These terms can change as the site does. When they do, the date at the top changes with it. Keeping on using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
