Rules per mod
Every feature you can turn off and every cap you can set, for BuildPrint and Sorted.
Each feature has the name the mod shows players, and an id for commands and the config file. Everything is allowed after a fresh install, until you change it.
BuildPrint #
| Feature | Id | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Easy place | buildprint.easy_place | Right-click the ghost to place the exact schematic block. |
| Drag place | buildprint.drag_place | Hold right-click and sweep to place many blocks. |
| Easy break | buildprint.easy_destroy | Hold left-click to break only blocks that don't match the schematic. |
| Placing in mid-air | buildprint.angel_placement | Place blocks in mid-air or in water and lava, with nothing to build against. |
| Auto-rotate | buildprint.auto_rotate | Briefly turn the player's view so a block lands facing the right way. |
| Printer | buildprint.printer | Place nearby missing blocks automatically. |
| Creating schematics | buildprint.create_schematics | Save part of your world as a schematic with BuildPrint's editor. |
| Paste | buildprint.paste | Paste a whole schematic into the world at once. Creative mode only. See Paste on the server. |
| Free camera | buildprint.free_camera | Fly the editor's camera away from the player's body. |
- Creating schematics is there so players can't copy builds off your server with BuildPrint. They can still load and place schematics they bring themselves. It doesn't stop other mods that copy builds, like Litematica or world downloaders.
- Free camera is for servers whose rules don't allow one. The server can't see a free camera (the body stays where it is and nothing is sent), so BuildPrint asks players the first time on a server how they want to move. With it off, BuildPrint doesn't ask: players edit from where they stand, walking as usual.
BuildPrint's caps #
| Cap | Id | Range | BuildPrint's default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Printer speed | buildprint.printer_speed | 1 to 16 blocks per tick | 4 |
| Printer range | buildprint.printer_range | 1 to 6 blocks | 4 |
| Paste size | buildprint.paste_max | Most blocks one paste may change | No cap |
0 means no cap. The lower of the player's own setting and your cap is used, so a player can still go slower than your cap.
Sorted #
Sorted follows these rules from its next version on. The Sorted versions out now ignore them, so turning a Sorted feature off changes nothing for players until they update.
| Feature | Id | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Sorting | sorted.sort | Sort the open chest or the inventory with one click or key. |
| Sorting on its own | sorted.auto_sort | Sort the inventory on pickup, and chests as they open. |
| Quick stack | sorted.quick_stack | Send stacks into the matching chests nearby. Also covers Quick Empty and Pull All. |
| Quick fill | sorted.quick_fill | Top up the stacks the player carries from chests nearby. |
| Reading chests in passing | sorted.auto_scan | Open containers within reach to see what's in them as the player walks past. |
| Highlights through walls | sorted.find_items | Show the chests that hold a searched item through walls. |
Sorted's cap #
| Cap | Id | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Click speed | sorted.clicks_per_tick | 1 to 20 inventory clicks per tick, for anti-cheat that counts them |
The note #
One short note for the whole server, up to 256 characters, like "The printer is off to keep the economy fair." Every mod shows it next to its rules. Set it with /vspolicy message set <text>, remove it with /vspolicy message clear.
