Settings
Every option in the settings screen, with its default.
Press M and click Settings, or open BuildPrint from Mod Menu.
Build assist #
- Build assist (easy place) default Off
- Right-click the ghost to place the right block. See Easy place.
- Auto-rotate to match state default On
- Turns your view for a moment so stairs, logs and furnaces land the right way. Off means blocks that depend on direction may need fixing by hand.
- Drag place (hold to build) default On
- Hold right-click to keep placing.
- Build prerequisites first default On
- Places the block something rests on before the thing itself.
- Don't place extra blocks default On
- Never places a block where the build wants nothing.
- Place-in-air blocks default Scaffolding
- Blocks that may be placed without support.
- Angel placement (mid-air) default Off
- Places blocks with nothing to build against.
- Write sign text default On
- Fills in the text of a sign when it is placed.
- Destroy assist (easy destroy) default On
- Hold left-click to break only wrong and extra blocks. See Easy destroy.
- Survival sanity checks default On
- Does not count states nobody can place as mistakes. See Status colors.
Tools #
- Auto-use shovel default On
- Makes dirt paths and puts out campfires.
- Auto-use flint & steel default On
- Lights candles, candle cakes and campfires.
- Auto-use axe default On
- Strips logs and wood.
- Auto-use hoe default On
- Tills farmland.
- Auto-use bone meal default On
- Grows short grass, ferns and seagrass into the tall kind.
- Auto-use water bucket default Off
- Experimental. Waterlogs blocks after placing. Can misfire.
- Auto-ignite nether portals default On
- Lights the obsidian frame once it is complete.
Tools are taken from your hotbar or inventory. In creative they are made for you.
Crafters #
- Lock crafter slots default On
- Switches off the same slots as in the schematic when a crafter is placed.
- Fill crafters with their items default Off
- Puts the items of the schematic into the crafter, from your inventory. Also adds them to the material list.
Printer #
- Printer mode (auto-build) default Off
- Places missing blocks around you. See The printer.
- Blocks per tick default 4
- From 1 to 16.
- Print range default 4
- From 1 to 4 blocks.
- Fix wrong state on pass default On
- Also fixes placed blocks that are set wrong.
- Face directional blocks yourself default On
- Waits until you look the right way for barrels, pistons and the like.
Rendering #
- Ghost opacity default 85%
- How see-through the ghost is.
- Status overlay default Tint
- Off, Outline or Tint.
- Status overlay opacity default 100%
- How strong the colors are, from 5% to 100%.
- Outline border width default 5
- Thickness of the border in Outline mode.
- Look-at block info default On
- A small panel about the block you look at.
- Highlight next block default On
- Marks the next block to place.
- Entity render distance default 64 blocks
- From 16 to 256.
- Vanilla face shading default On
- Shades faces by direction.
- Occlusion culling default On
- Only draws faces on the outside.
- Tint ghost blue default On
- Makes the ghost slightly blue.
- Hide correct blocks default On
- Hides the ghost where the right block is placed.
Schematics #
- Remember placements default On
- Saves what is loaded where, per world and per server.
- World fingerprinting default On
- Shows a build only in the world you placed it in, on servers with several worlds behind one address. See Servers.
- Import from Litematica
- Brings over your Litematica placements. See Coming from Litematica.
Performance #
- Adapt to frame rate default On
- Draws less of the overlay and the ghost when the frame rate drops.
- Hide builds when lag persists default On
- Hides the nearest build when the frame rate stays low. Show it again from the Loaded tab.
- Overlay reach, inside a build default 64 blocks
- How far the colors are drawn while you are in a build.
- Overlay reach, outside a build default 32 blocks
- The same, while you are outside.
- Max overlay marks default 2048
- The most marks drawn at once.
- Next-block reach, inside a build default 16 blocks
- How far the next block is looked for.
- Next-block reach, outside a build default 16 blocks
- The same, while you are outside.
- Auto-align search radius default 12
- How far auto align looks around you, from 4 to 32.
